Thandizo Plus Policy is a Family Funeral Plan offered by Smile Life in partnership with Taprama Funeral Parlor in Southern Region (Blantyre), Dignity Funeral Services in Central Region (Lilongwe) and Mzuzu Funeral Services in Northern Region (Mzuzu).It is an all-embracing funeral plan for people who are articulate planners in life and those who care for their families. The product is meant for those that do not want to leave the burden of their family funeral arrangements to relatives, friends or neighbors..

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

In the event of death of the insured life, the amount of funeral benefit shall be paid to take care of the funeral expenses through Taprama Funeral Parlor.

You are free to choose the amount of cover between MK 300,0000 and MK 2,500,000.

You are rewarded for your loyalty to the Plan in the form of Premium Refund (Survival Benefit) of 20% of total monthly premiums at the end of 5, 10 and 15 years

Inflation Proofing

Option of 10% of the sum assured per annum to cushion the effects of inflation

Services to be offered by Taprama

  • Supply of coffin
  • Supply of tents and chairs at funeral home and or grave yard
  • Supply of food
  • Delivery of body from hospital to mortuary then from mortuary to funeral home
  • Exact services to be provided will depend on the amount of cover ranging from MK 300, 000.00 to MK 2.5 million per individual.
  • Supply of wreaths
  • Supply of public address system
  • Body cremation
  • If you get thandizo funeral policy you will get a discount on services rendered by taprama.
  • Transportation of body and mourners from funeral home to church/mosque and place of burial (Transportation).
