Smile Life Insurance has donated K5.5 million to the Malawi University of Science and Technology (Must), to be used for motivating and encouraging innovation among lecturers and students.
This follows a similar donation Smile Life made to the University for its first congregation in 2019.
The contribution further entails the firm’s commitment to honoring the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) it signed with the university in a category called the Vice Chancellor Innovation Award.
Smile Life Insurance Managing Director Stain Singo said the company encourages innovation in the education sector.
“With the present government’s commitment, to create one million jobs, the more job opportunities that will be created through their actions, “Singo said He further guaranteed that these donations would increase, despite the Covid pandemic that continues to affect the economy.
